Pro-life advocates argue that fetuses are people from the moment of conception and have the same fundamental “right to life” before birth as humans have after birth. Many of these advocates want to give “personhood” rights to the unborn. They say that when these rights are given to a class of human beings, they are protected by a series of constitutional guarantees including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These rights would, of course, preclude the possibility of abortion. Pro-choice advocates claim fetuses are not people and it is improper to award constitutional rights to a fetus.

• I oppose reforming current right to life policy and wish to donate resources to the campaign committee of Speaker Mike Johnson (LA).
• I support declaring the right to life is vested in every human being from the moment of fertilization by:
  
  1.) Asserting that the right to life, as guaranteed by the Constitution, is vested in every human being from the moment of conception, cloning, or any other method of coming into being.
  
  2.) Granting legal personhood to fertilized eggs and embryos, and laying the groundwork for a potential nationwide abortion ban.
  
  3,) Attempting to establish its authority through Congress's constitutional powers, particularly under Article I, Section 8, and Section 5 of the Fourteenth Amendment.
  
  4.) Stating that the bill cannot be used to authorize the prosecution of a woman for the death of her unborn child.
  
  And wish to donate resources to the campaign committee of Rep. Jim Jordan (OH) and/or to an advocate group currently working with this issue.
